On October 14, on the way home, after having been on concert tours in Martuni, renowned singer Varduhi Vardanyan together with her colleagues Arman Khachatryan and Yeghishe Verdyan met with an accident. The dreadful accident happened on Martuni-Yerevan road. Varduhi Vardanyan died; Yeghishe Verdyan and Arman Khachatryan were taken to hospital with different bodily injuries. This death is a great loss for the Armenian nation, Armenian culture and art. Varduhi Vardanyan will always be in everyone's heart.
